Trevor Brunner
The gifted Trevor Brunner ranks as one of the brightest prospects the world of dirt track has to offer.
A first-generation racer, Brunner has been competing on two wheels since the age of three. Not satisfied with his performance at the 2018 AMA Flat Track Grand Championship, Brunner refocused, altering his diet and training with hopes of ending his amateur career in ideal fashion in 2019. It worked… Brunner walked away with four AMA #1 plates and was named 2019 AMA Nicky Hayden Horizon Award Winner and 2019 AMA Athlete of the Year.
The Aurora, Indiana, native made his professional debut in 2020, where his stock continued to rise in stratospheric fashion. He ended his rookie Parts Unlimited AFT Singles season ranked seventh with a stunning Springfield ST victory serving as an exclamation point.
He backed that up with an even better sophomore campaign, sweeping the Sacramento Mile doubleheader en route to an eventual fifth-place championship ranking.
Brunner enjoyed his best professional season yet in 2022 after joining the Estenson Racing outfit to fill the slot left by the graduating Dallas Daniels. Following an unsteady start, he came on strong in the season’s second half, scoring a pair of wins and six podiums in a span of seven races.
Brunner enters 2023 considered one of the most acute threats to Kody Kopp’s ambitions to repeat as Parts Unlimited AFT Singles repeat champion.
